- Dave – Jonathon, it was another great Land Show, man. We started off with a bang, then Miss Marianne Hudson with Department of Conservation and Natural Resources here in Alabama. And she’s kind of the black bear lady.
- Johnny – Yeah.
- Dave – She was the Conservation Communicator of the Year. A really great young woman to talk to, and knows so much about the wildlife resources, specifically bears. We talked about black bears in Alabama, and the growing population, real interesting.
- Johnny – Yeah, it is. And then we have Miss Ellie Watson with Sweet Grown Alabama on to talk about all the different things that are happening around the state with our fruit and produce producers, and also our cattlemen. Just a lot of good stuff, and Sweet Grown Alabama does a good job promoting Alabama grown products.
- Dave – Yeah, Ellie’s great. And Commissioner Page has done a great job there with Agon Industries. Then we went to talk to a local farmer there in Chilton County, friend of yours there in Thorsby, Miss Ginger Duncan, with Neely Choose and Cut Christmas Tree Farm there. And they’ve grown the Leyland Cypress, and the Virginia Pine. And they’re bringing in some other stuff. They’re just really great family business. She’s a local lady and you know, just somebody great to trade with.
- Johnny – I’m gonna channel my inner court Griswald this weekend, and go get us a Christmas tree. And then Seth Murphy who’s with Southeastern Land Group down in Baldwin County was on to talk about the different aspects of the land market down in Baldwin County. It’s just such a neat part of the state.
- Dave – Yeah, yeah, it’s a special time down there with Satsumas coming in, pecans. Fishing, it’s my favorite time to go down there. Old red-headed boy doesn’t like the sun in the summertime.
- Johnny – I understand that.
