  • Dave – Well Jonathan, it was another great day after Christmas show kind of our semi-Christmas episode, we had a great first guest, Miss Stephanie Fuller who lives not far from me in Chambers County and she’s with ForestryWorks! which is an affiliate of Alabama Forestry Association. And that’s a tremendous program there for young people and training and all the good things they do, trying to sort of replenish the workforce and provide opportunities for younger people in forestry. So, you know, check it out.
  • Johnny – I’m hoping that they’re gonna let me get in a skidder and drive a loop. And then we talked to your good buddy Vic Jackson, who’s the owner and proprietor there at the Sportsmans Outpost in Waverley. And sounds like they make some fantastic, they do good deer processing and have a sporting goods store there. Sounds like a place I’ll need to check out man.
  • Dave – You do man, you need some of that sausage.
  • Johnny – I do, how about bringing some of that on in here?
  • Dave – I eat it too fast. Robert King came on next to give our Farmland Report. Caught him while he was mending fences on his farm in Clay County and watched that pretty fescue grow and we just, you know, we just talked about the great year with poultry farm sales. Like they sold 32 or 33 farms, just a tremendous year.
  • Johnny – Yeah, for sure and then we wrapped it up with our good friend Calvin Perryman. He’s with Southeastern Land Group down in Troy and we talked about appraisals and some of the things that trigger those and what, how you can benefit from having an appraisal done on your property. And man, just a, it’s been a good year for the Land Show, we appreciate our sponsors and all of our listeners and I’m honestly glad to put 2020 in the rearview.
  • Dave – Well, it was a mixed bag, it was a tough year. It was a good year in the land business, we’re thankful for that, thankful for all of our listeners and people that listened to The Land Show. Appreciate you all watching this review and encourage you to listen to the entire Land Show with Dave and Johnny.
