Welcome to Boulder Creek Plantation. Boulder Creek Plantation is a well-managed and meticulously maintained wildlife preserve situated on 300+/- acres in north-central Tallapoosa Co, Alabama. Located just 10 miles from Alexander City, AL, 47 miles from Auburn, AL, 81 miles from Birmingham, Al, and a short distance to Lake Martin.
Lake Martin is a 44,000-Acre reservoir with over 750 miles of wooded shoreline. Lake Martin is formed by the construction of Martin Dam on the Tallapoosa River. It is one of the largest man-made lakes in the United States and it is a popular recreation area for swimming, boating, water skiing, camping, golfing, and great fishing.
Upon entering Boulder Creek Plantation, you will begin to see what a truly spectacular property it is. The winding drive will first take you by the guest house which is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom custom cabin. The guest house overlooks an outside entertaining area that is hard to beat. Imagine entertaining with a grand stacked stone fireplace, outdoor Skyview TV, waterfalls on either side, a sunken hot tub, a chef’s dream kitchen with two under the counter Marvel refrigerators, two built-in Green Egg grills, an Alfresco cooking station, and a TEC infrared grill with cooled storage. Just behind the guest house is a newly constructed metal barn that is fully enclosed, cement floor, and sliding double doors on either end. The barn also has a back sitting area that overlooked one of the two ponds on the property.
The Main Lodge.
The lodge is approximately 7300 sq ft heated and cooled with two levels. Arriving under the portico, you will notice barrel-rolled ceilings, a custom chandelier, and gorgeous trim work. You then are greeted by two 8ft doors that invite you into to the main living room. Once in the lodge, you will really start to see the craftsmanship of this magnificent lodge. Cathedral ceilings adorn the main living room with exposed beams and a large natural stone fireplace. Travertine floors run throughout the entire main level of the lodge. The centrally located kitchen with coffered ceilings has everything that a chef would need. The large granite countertops offer a great space for entertaining guests and a well-appointed dining room just off the kitchen. Located in the west wing on the main level of the lodge are an office, an owner’s suite with coffered ceilings, a large en-suite bathroom with his and her vanity, a walk-in shower, garden tub with a view, and a walk-in closet with custom cabinetry. Upstairs in the west wing of the lodge are two bedrooms, each with its own full bath. Back on the main level, and just off the living area, is the impressive entertaining area. Walking into the entertaining area, you will notice the extensive trim work with the coffered ceilings, cabinetry, and full bar. This space is perfect for entertaining guests while watching your favorite sporting event or hosting hunting guests that are there to enjoy the great hunting opportunities Boulder Creek Plantation offers. In the east wing of the main lodge on the second level is a common area for your guests as well as 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Outside of the main lodge and attached by a beautiful covered porch is a large 4 car garage and full living quarters above the garage. The guest suite offers a living room, open kitchen, and bedroom with a full bath. This is a perfect hideaway for your guests that need a little privacy.
Outside, on the back flagstone veranda is an additional full outdoor kitchen with a TEC infrared cooking station, an Alfresco cooking station, a Marvel refrigerator, storage drawers, and additional amenities. Entertain your guests in this outdoor space with plenty of seating for everyone, large outdoor TV, and even a fire pit to enjoy a crackling fire on a cool night.
Just a short drive from the main lodge you will find a 50 x 50, 4 stall barn with plenty of storage and room for all the outdoor toys and equipment. The barn overlooks an inviting and well-stocked 3.5-acre pond. There have been many bass caught that have been over 8+ pounds. There are several food plots and shooting houses throughout the property. There is an abundance of wildlife that has been extensively managed for 15 years. The property consists of upland pine stands and beautiful hardwood stands that offer a wide variety of food sources for the deer and turkey population. Behind the guest house, there is a well-stocked 1-acre pond with a nice dock that is perfect for your guests to enjoy a nice afternoon of fishing. Just on the other side of the dam is a small shallow crawfish pond. Grow your own crawfish and treat your guests with your own crawfish boil. Timbergut Creek winds through the eastern side of the property providing year-round access to flowing water allowing for a stable wildlife population. The current owner, in addition to the 300+/- acres that are owned, also has a long-term hunting lease with Alabama Power that adds an additional 425+/- acres. Streams and creeks line the boundaries of this over 700 acres providing perfect seclusion. Boulder Creek Plantation is a private hunting preserve that offers the owners endless opportunities for enjoyment such as; a commercial hunting plantation, wedding venue, corporate retreat, or a peaceful, personal, private retreat.
