Mark was born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and grew up in the Mississippi Delta and hills of the Ms. river, where hunting was a way of life. His passion for the land business started early, being part of one of the first shareholder land companies in southwest Mississippi. Mark’s extensive knowledge of hunting properties comes from hands-on experience, including helping to build a stockholder deer camp that remains active & Successful to this day.
Specializing in both farmland and hunting land, Mark’s expertise is deeply rooted in his family’s long-standing connection to the Mississippi River and Delta crop lands. His understanding of land ownership has been shaped by traditional values and an old-school mentality. Mark’s comprehensive experience encompasses all aspects of buying and selling properties, including
– 1031 tax exchanges, Wetland Reserve Easements (WRE/WRP),
– Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), – agricultural properties,
– Heir properties that have issues such as conflicts, undivided property, access problems, and metes and bounds issues.

Mark is particularly skilled in managing shareholder hunting properties, guiding clients through the mechanics of building shareholder deer camps, from setting up bylaws and managing members to deer management, timber management, food plots, and roads. His expertise in shareholder properties is a significant advantage in creating successful land companies.

Mark and his wife Angie are lifelong residents of Vicksburg, Mississippi, along with their sons Alec Kitchens and Alex Stevens, and daughter Shelby Stevens Rankin.
