Pete Folmar

Pete Folmar

Pete was raised on a small family farm in South Shelby County. His family had chickens, goats, horses and dairy cattle on the farm at various times. He is a lifelong outdoorsman who fell in love with hunting and fishing at a young age due to many days hunting small game and fishing in farm ponds and creeks with his father. Pete attended Jacksonville State University before graduating from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration. He worked in Law Enforcement for 26 plus years, rising to the level of Chief of Police before retiring in 2020. He still provides first responder training part time. He owns and runs a small beef cattle farm (Folmar Field and Farm LLC) in rural Talladega County and raises red angus cattle. He is passionate about cattle, family farming, regenerative agriculture and grazing, sustainable farm to table operations as well as forestry, hunting and conservation. He is excited about the opportunity to help you find the perfect way to market your farm, hunting land, timberland or investment property.
