  • Dave: Well, Johnathon, it was another great Land Show, man. We started off in a part of the state that I love where our little cabin is, close to South of Chihog there.
  • Johnny: Yeah.
  • Dave: Close to the national forest. Ms. Deanna Balm, with Nayalena Farm is just a beautiful, mainly organic-type farm, and she’s got such a passion for what she does there. Great produce, and hogs, and chickens, and yogurt and really neat stuff.
  • Johnny: She was awesome to hear from. You’ll want to hear that. And then we had Preston Roberts who is the Director of Agricultural Legislation for the ALFA Farmers Federation come in today. Talked about some updates and things that have been happening on Capitol Hill here recently. It was a big win, something that you were really behind.
  • Dave: Sentimental 107 to restore freedoms, to rural Alabamians that happened to be you know, close to growth areas. So that was a, that was a big win. And then we went down close to the Wiregrass down Andalusia way, talked to Russ Walters caught him on the tractor. He was getting his cotton and peanuts in, making a plan for the year, and talked about all the great land opportunities that he has in that part of the world.
  • Johnny: For sure. And then we wrapped it up with Cooper Holmes my good friend over in Perry County, Alabama. And he talked about, just there’s a resurgence in folks wanting to get out and do these little stays in Airbnbs. And they’re wanting to travel again post-COVID. And then he talked about a 92-acre place that we’ve got for sale there in Perry County that won’t last long. It’s a neat spot.
  • Dave: Yeah, and Cooper’s got his own historic farmhouse there on the farm.
  • Johnny: Yeah, it’s a neat place.
  • Dave: It really is. Well, folks we appreciate you watching this video review and encourage you to listen to the entire Land Show with Dave and Johnny.
